Zontas celebrates women’s strength
Zonta Caboolture is proud to announce the return of it's much anticipated annual International Women’s Day (IWD) luncheon, set to take place on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 10:30 am to 2 pm at the North Leagues and Services Club in Kallangur.
This event, a beloved tradition, celebrates the achievements and wellbeing of women and girls locally, nationally, and internationally.
The luncheon will feature Katherine Griggs, a trailblazing engineer, as this year’s guest speaker. Griggs, whose career spans both Australia and overseas, has broken through male-dominated industries and faced prejudice to make her mark as a professional and woman.
Her journey aligns perfectly with this year’s International Women’s Day theme, “Marching Forward,” which highlights the ongoing march towards gender parity and unlocking equal rights, power, and opportunities for women and girls.
The event aims to celebrate the collective efforts of women worldwide and reflect on the progress made in achieving equality. It also serves as a reminder of the challenges still ahead.
Proceeds from the event will support local services and initiatives that empower women and girls, furthering Zonta Caboolture’s mission to raise awareness and create a better world for women everywhere.
