The Tier 1 team dismissed Glasshouse for 111 in 27.1 overs before securing victory in 18.5 overs for the loss of three wickets.

Glasshouse’s openers were dismissed without scoring, and six of the top seven batters tallied just nine runs while captain Kim Howden’s 39 stood out at number three.

Howden’s dismissal left her team in dire trouble at 7/59 before Liz McPherson made a vital 25 at number eight.

Caboolture’s Brianna Coffin grabbed 5/11 while Jen Beattie, Gayle Mawer, Isabelle Brennan and Rechelle Adams shared the other wickets.

Mawer (33), Jear Cochrane (31) and Claudia Arjun (20 not out) scored the bulk of the runs for the winners, with Mawer dismissed when Caboolture was one run shy of the target.

In Tier 2, Caboolture’s batters struggled as only Sharon Nicholls (24 not out) and Melissa Bicanic (14) reached double figures.

There were 50 runs in illegal bowling as Caboolture tallied 5/96 in 20 overs.

USC-Buderim was off to a flying start as Kylie Starcevich scored 30 retired off just 17 balls.

Mary Dhot claimed a wicket with the total at 29, but it was the only hiccup in the run chase.

USC-Buderim batted on after reaching the target, and finished on 2/130 from 20 overs.
