Welcome Year of the Snake

Caboolture Town Square welcomed thousands of visitors, as Moreton Bay celebrated the vibrant traditions of the East at the Moreton Bay Region Lunar New Year event on February 8.

Local acts and community groups brought the event to life with incredible performances on the main stage.

Red Dragon Martial Arts entertained audiences with interactive workshops and performances, including dragon dances, martial arts demonstrations, and a stunning LED lion dance.

Attendees enjoyed delicious Asian cuisine from a variety of food trucks, while the markets showcased a great selection of handmade goods and boutique items.

The event concluded with the spectacular Firecracker Finale at 8pm, a crowd favourite that lit up the night sky.

2025 marks the Year of the Snake, which officially kicked off on January 29.

Celebrations last up to 16 days in Chinese culture.
