TOOGOOLAWAH marked its 120th birthday on Saturday, September 14, with the town coming alive with stalls, music, and a colourful parade.
The entire town embraced the celebration of its history, with many buildings featuring historical displays, allowing guests to enjoy a self-guided tour through time. Highlights included the Toogoolawah Pool’s history, the Railway Museum, the History Museum, the heritagelisted Anglican Church, The Condensery Art Gallery, and military memorabilia at the RSL Hall.
The opening parade, following speeches by Mayor Jason Wendt and State Member for Nanango, Deb Frecklington, brought together various community groups, services, and organisations in a vibrant display of carts and costumes.
Here’s to the next 120 years, Toogoolawah!
