Teenager dies after Glass House Mountains fall
Peter Garlick, 18, has been named as teenager killed in a climbing tragedy on Mt Ngungun, Glass House Mountains on Saturday (10 April, 2021).
The QUT student, who was studying to be a teacher, was from Chermside.
Paramedics were called to the scene about midday after reports Garlick had fallen 40 metres. A rescue helicopter was called as Queensland Fire and Emergency Services and SES volunteers assisted multiple paramedics at the scene.
Mount Ngungun is 250 metres high and is the sixth tallest of the Glass House Mountains.
