Serious crash, Elimbah
A man is in a critical condition following a single vehicle crash at Elimbah on Saturday afternoon.
Initial investigations indicated a Toyota Hilux travelling northbound on a bridged section of the Bruce Highway had left the roadway, driven off an embankment and crashed onto the Steve Irwin Way underpass beneath.
A man in his 20s, the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, was transported in a critical condition to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
Anyone with information or relevant dashcam footage is urged to contact police.
