Saltwater crocodile sighting in Moreton Bay
Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) has been investigating a credible saltwater crocodile sighting at Myora Springs, North Stradbroke Island within the Moreton Bay Marine Park.

The investigation began at 10am on Wednesday, with QPWS directing park users to stay out of the area while rangers investigate the sighting.
Anyone who sees a crocodile in Moreton Bay Marine Park is asked to report it to the Department of Environment and Science at the following link: https://environment.des.qld.gov.au/wildlife/animals/living-with/crocodiles/report-crocodile
People are warned that crocodiles are easily spooked and are highly mobile, and that the longer it takes to report a sighting, the less likely the crocodile will be located.
