New United owners
United Kilcoy is now under new management and ownership, according to community sources.
While United Petroleum CEO David Szymczak has not confirmed to The Sentinel if this is correct, who the new owners are, and why ownership has changed, a United Kilcoy employee and a local community group announced the changeover on social media last week.
An employee also confirmed to The Sentinel in person that ownership has changed but did not say to who or why.
This comes after United Petroleum launched an audit into Ring Pty Ltd, the independent company responsible for operating the United Kilcoy Service Station, following The Sentinel’s reports about former employees reaching out to share their experiences, including being allegedly paid cash.
