New playground open at Fernvale
A train has stationed at the new playground in Memorial Park at Fernvale.
The custom-designed train is bursting with play opportunities for children of multiple ages.
The new playground reopened to the public last Thursday (April 6), with an official opening and community celebration in the works for the coming weeks.
The playground features so much including climbing nets, swaying pods, tactile play panels, a slide, talking tubes and crawling tunnels which will excite all train drivers big and small.
The new playground also features a Birds Nest Swing that encourages children to enjoy the sensation of swinging together. The playground was designed in collaboration with award-winning playground designers at Urban Play.
The new $250,000 playground is funded by the Federal Government through its Local Road Community Infrastructure Program, with thanks to Federal Member of Parliament, Shayne Neumann.
