Moreton’s new recruits welcomed
MEMBER for Morayfield, Mark Ryan, and Member for Kurwongbah, Shane King, welcomed Moreton District’s newest police recruits at the Burpengary Station last week.

The Queensland Police Service (QPS) held its largest graduation ceremony in 33 years on March 14, welcoming 155 new police officers into its ranks. Moreton District’s new recruits include six First Year Constables and two First Year Constables with previous policing experience. Three of these recruits have been assigned to Caboolture Police Station, in Mr. Ryan’s electorate, with the remainder being spread between Redcliffe, Deception Bay, and Petrie.
The new recruits were welcomed at the Burpengary Station, where they were undertaking their inductions. Mr. Ryan said it was “a great pleasure” meeting the latest group of recruits, adding he is sure he’ll see them out and about in the community “very soon.”
“It’s reassuring to know that we now have even more officers in our local area, wearing the blue uniform and keeping our community safe,” he said.
