More help needed for Meals on Wheels service in Woodford?
MEALS ON WHEELS Moreton Bay Region are seeking expressions of interest for assistance in establishing a distribution centre in Woodford.
The centre will service the local area. Currently, the Woodford and surrounding areas are serviced 3 days a week by volunteers who travel excessive kilometres to deliver meals.
The goal will be to have a van bring the meals from the Meals on Wheels Moreton Bay Region (MOWMBR) kitchen out to Woodford and a team of volunteers meet at a location in Woodford to collect the meals and deliver to clients.
Meals on Wheels Moreton Bay Region require assistance from local individuals and representatives from community organisations and services to make the meal delivery in the area socially and financially sustainable for the Meals on Wheels service, for volunteers, and for clients, both now and in the future.
Interested individuals are invited to attend a public forum at Woodford Memorial Hall on June 9, at 1pm
