Local candidates locked in
Candidates for the March 16 council election are now locked with the nominated mayor and councillor candidates for Moreton Bay and Somerset announced last week.
City of Moreton Bay only has one mayoral candidate, sitting Mayor Peter Flannery, and 25 councillor candidates across its 12 divisions.
Five divisions already have their councillors set, having only one nominated candidate for each division: Brooke Savige (Div 1), Jodie Shipway (Div 4), Yvonne Barlow (Div 7), Cath Tonks (Div 9) and Darren Grimwade (Div 11).
Somerset has two mayoral candidates, Jason Wendt and Sean Choat, along with 14 councillor candidates for its single division.
A full list of candidates can be found on the right. Election Day will be on March 16, between 8am and 6pm.
Postal voting commenced at 2pm on February 14, and ends at 6pm on March 16.
Early voting begins at 9am on March 4, and ends at 6pm on March 15. Electoral visitor voting opened at 9am on February 15, and will close at 6pm on March 16.
