Land rationalisation process continues
Somerset Regional Council will sell or abolish two blocks of freehold land to manage costs and risks.

Mayor Graeme Lehmann said Council will sell an unviable block of land at Glen Esk near Lake Wivenhoe to the neighbouring property owner who may be able to reconfigure it and hopefully create a new usable rural title.
“We are also converting a flood hazard freehold block near Sandy Creek in Esk to road reserve to reduce our costs and risks,” Cr Lehmann said.
“All of this will help reduce our COVID deficit going forward.”
