Kilcoy State School tops business tennis competition
Kilcoy State School won the inaugural Battle of the Businesses tennis competition at the Kilcoy Tennis Club.
The winners were decided in the final challenge, as the six teams sought to claim the main prize and etch their name into the history books at the October 9 tournament.
Kilcoy tennis coach Jani Kroyherr described the occasion as “a fantastic fun event”.
“What an event the 2021 Battle of the Businesses turned out to be,” he said.
With six highly skilled and competitive teams taking part, Kroyherr said the team that worked in unison the best would ultimately wear the crown.
“Jo, Jess and Bridgit (from KSS) got the job done and hit the winning shot, earning them the biggest win of their tennis career,” Kroyherr said.
Kroyherr expressed thanks to the Kilcoy Tennis Club for hosting the event, and to all the behind-the-scenes helpers.
The line-ups were:
KSS (Kilcoy State School): Jo, Bridgit and Jess;
The Fat Trimmers (the Meatworks): Matt, Alex and Steph;
Secret Agents (Ray White real estate): Sam, Matt and Sam;
Hot Shots (Coff & Co): Angela, Hayley and Holly;
Pump and Dump (Kilcoy Liquid Waste): Lindsay, Jay and Rob;
It’s Getting Hot In Here (Kilcoy Fire Brigade): Jaydon, Mick and William.
