Impact of flood damage coming to light
As the rain lightens off and water recedes, the damage from the floods is starting to come to light.
While twelve Local Government Areas (LGA's) have been approved for flood disaster assistance, at this stage Somerset Region has not qualified, depsite significant damage and isolation being reported by local residents.
On Sandy Creek Road, Kilcoy, a significant sink hold has developed adjacent to the second bridge crossing (pictured).
Many residents still remained isolated by flood waters.
