Footworks steps into USA
Contributed by Elizabeth Barritt from Footworks Dance FootworksDance, Morayfield, will have 40 travellers and 24 performers heading off to the United States, with the group flying out on December 14 this year.
We have nine days in LA where the students will perform at DisneyLand, Universal Studios and Citadel.
The students will also do Workshops in Disney and Millennium Dance Complex, a leading LA dance studio.
We then extend onto New York to experience the bright lights of this city.
We will be seeing shows like The Rockettes Christmas Spectacular, a backstage tour and a wonderful Broadway musical.
We will all celebrate Christmas together at Ellen’s Diner before we all head home or travel.
We received our travel documents yesterday which makes it very real and super exciting.
FootworksDance has been a family owned, community focused dance studio in Moreton Bay since 1962.
It was founded by Pam Lennon, which she eventually passed on the director role to her daughter, Elizabeth Barritt.
The studio is now staffed by her cousins, niece daughter and she even used to work alongside her sister.
