Dolphins announced as new NRL franchise

The wait is over at last, as it has been confirmed the Moreton Bay-based Dolphins will join the National Rugby League (NRL) in 2023.

The announcement was made on Wednesday morning that the Dolphins will become the 17th franchise in the NRL.

As of 2023, the NRL will comprise of four Queensland teams: the Dolphins, Brisbane Broncos, Gold Coast Titans and North Queensland Cowboys.
