Caboolture are undefeated
The Caboolture Cricket Tier 1 Women’s team are continuing to dominate their competition, going undefeated all season.

This comes off the back of a premiership win for the first time in the 2023/24 season for the Caboolture Women.
Caboolture have won all their games so far this season, but has also faced many cancelled games due to the rain.
else will fall into place.
Team coach, Jayden Coffin, said he credits the team’s success to their extensive training sessions.
“When my girls are training, they put a lot of effort in, I’ve always told my girls that, my motto is hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t want to work hard,” he said.
“I’m big on fundamentals so some trainings are very boring, basically I try to make the girls focus on if you can do the one percenters right, everything else will fall into place.”
“It’s really showing in the games that they play.”
Jayden added that there aren’t any standout players in this season’s squad, as everyone is pulling their weight.
“Last year we had a couple of players where they’d always stand up in every game,” Jayden said.
“This year if those usual standout players fail, the girls at the bottom of the order step up and do their job.
“It’s good to see a few of those young girls stepping up when they need to, it’s been really good this year, shared contributions all round.”
This is Jayden’s third season coaching the Tier 1 side, and said it was a great experience leading the team to a grand final last season.
“Before our win, we played one grand final about six years ago but none of my girls had ever played in one,” he said.
“I’ll be staying on board next year as coach because I thoroughly enjoy coaching, it’s a great passion of mine.”
There are now only two games left until the semi finals, and Caboolture’s next game will be against the first placed Caloundra side.
“It was the first year we had a whole new group of girls together so it was really good, we gelled well.
Despite Caboolture going undefeated all season winning three games and two byes, Caloundra have won four games and two byes.
This is because Caloundra have only had one abandoned match to Caboolture’s three abandoned games.
Caloundra are yet to beat Caboolture this season, losing to them in round 4, 4/115 to 10/114.
The top two teams will be playing at Roy Henzell Park, Caloundra on February 2, from 9am.
Caboolture will then play Cooroy-Eumundi, who they faced in last season’s grand final, on February 16.
